Nepalese democracy- "DEMO-CRAZY"

Former President of America Abraham Lincon  once addressing at the dedication of the National cemetery at Gellysburg said, "Fourteen score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth upon this continent a new nation , conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal… we here highly resolve that the dead shall not have died shall not have died in vain , that this nation, under god, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people , by the people , and for the people, shall not perish from the earth. This speech has been regarded not only by the people of America but whole over the world, those who want freedom and progression are reciting as a hymn. However, in Nepal, the situation has been slightly different from others because this practice seems like the myth of Sisyphus.

The god made Sisyphus to roll a rock to the top of the mountain but before reaching its top the rock would roll down. The job was futile and hopeless. Same type of scenario can be seen in the Nepalese politics.

PART: 1

After overthrowing the tyrannical Rana regime in 2007 B.S, people were dreaming of freedom and progression. They were longing for the leader such as Mahatma Gandhi, who would lead them to their platonic world. But the tragedy started to make its space in the life of Nepalese, which has been piercing until now. No one came in front to act as a national hero. The party based leaders were not conscious, with the people's desire. Ultimately, King Mahindra dominated the personality of leaders and established strong and static "panchayat system ruling system".

However, this ruling pattern couldn’t keep its position and was thrown by so called democratic  parties in 2046 B.S.Up to this time period, the leaders were as same as before. Miser leaders for the second time took the ruling power by taking the oath in front  of citizens that they would do each and every task in behalf of the country and people. Disappointment increased when this was not done in practice. The leaders demonstrated embarrassing form of democracy once again. Corruption in every field, injustice, insecurity, etc became prevalent in the country. Civil war started in 2052 B.S and political instability created environment for king Gyanendra to take over the power in the banner of people's behalf. He ruled for short duration of time until the consensus was made by democratic parties with the Maoist rebels.

PART;3

The revolution took place again in 2062/63 B.S and ultimately kingship was abolished. New election held and people became eager to find out New Nepal. As usual, this desire seems to be a dream only. Democratic parties have shown their true color as before nothing has changed in the country. The drafting of constitution has already taken more than four years but is not finalized yet. Leaders are fighting for ruling. The theme of 'Unity in Diversity' has been slowly changing. The large groups of people are being subdued from the mainstream policy which is creating a kind of disappointment among them.

Is this a democracy? IS this which is practiced in big democratic countries like America and India? Is there no nationhood but party hood in democracy? Is there only discrimination in democracy? It is absolutely not. Democracy means equality. Democracy means people where there are no ruled but rulers only. It is a process where opportunities are shared equally and where there is life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

            THE WORLD OF SOUL

The tickling time and we are running futile race with it. seconds, minutes, hours, months years always exaggerating the desires. no matter swim in hot lava ,freeze in  ice , float in  vapor, the desire for the material prosperity and desire for the happiness of love and lust, but what a wonder, nobody is creeping inside it and exploring rather, the worked is playing with the dream, the dream of platonic life and plentitude life. the real irony is the very dream has either significance neither consequences but has an extreme force to attract the rubbish vacant mind as magnet gets attract towards iron. the diseased , cruel, guilty dream which has occupied a Hugh platform of life has become an obstacle for preceding towards the eternal, aesthetical, liberal destination. so, to eradicate this appendage that has been growing for the very long time, one must deal with different  circumstances and generate the vibration that would break away all the chains, and get flowed like the river hurried to get to the sea but not like a fragmented stream that would evaporate itself in its vague path .

            The close analysis of life finds two kinds of bodies: material body and spiritual body. But being the beholder of materialistic body that is  made-up of physical matters and which has a physical representation, we are prone to a belief that nothing could be beyond it. we don’t try to believe that something bigger and wider is within us and that very something is being repressed from hundred, thousand of years and has created a blockage and we are wandering without receiving the path of salvation.

            The most illusionist character does to material body bears are the senses which can operate in a magnificent way. due to these senses only the motive of a person is dragged from one side to another , one place to another and finally is thrown out of his biological wretched frame and continue with another new one. as the senses are illusionist, they snatch the quality of reasoning, seeing, hearing, and must of all,' pleasure".

             In the materialistic world, we summit ourselves to these senses . we believe eyes the very eyes that have been searching of the coolest and finest matters. they find or not ,we should ask ourselves because we are already knowingly or unknowingly habituated in this process. in the same way ears, always wandering for the false admiration and skin which is taken with very care avoiding heat, cold, pain is in search of pleasure. the pleasure is simply lust which does not have any significance. it is the perfect path to the chain because , the skin whose ultimate goal is lust is defined 'a way to the hell'. A brain ,which we think as a separate portion of the body bearing the caliber to control everything itself is an illusive organ. It can be controlled and can be put in one stable form but if other senses are active than it cant be controlled as a consequence it automatically works. It becomes so active that it works when all other senses are resting that is in the form of dream when we are asleep. Sometime some people say in the gypnotistic process the soul works but some regarded people and scholars say that it is active form of mind only that pictures in hypnotism. they cannot be put in the single ground. No one should compare the flesh and blood with the supreme power. The mind is only the matter that has a relation with other senses to perform the task in chronological manner not more than that.

            As we have dealt with materialistic world, now we should find out the spiritual world. But, it is beyond the scope of scientific world that has been presented before us. It is the world of completeness , no longing, no desire, nothing but  pleasure, such type of pleasure that cannot be possessed by getting involved in the experience of physical world.

           

            we may be enthusiastic to follow the path to the spiritual world and live in it. So, the idea of reaching there is via 'spirit or soul'. Soul is only the power that has a great significance but we are not recognizing it. Soul is the gist of all living beings. every living being are entitled with the soul, so , they are in motion. we simply consider that our physical body is operating our life but that is very false concept, because the physical body is operating with the help of soul. so here question may arise , how is it possible because there are functional parts in the body to perform their recommended task smoothly. To answer this we must take an account of  a dead body . it has everything that is needed to be a material body but it cannot do any movement and  is in unanimated form because the soul has left it. The soul has moved away leaving the frame and that frame is no good at all. Sometimes question arises about the figure of soul . Why we cannot  see it , if it is present in living being? it is simply because soul is tiny, very minute in form. It is atom sized tiny spark or thread which cannot be observed by scientific inventions at any cost. But the strength is beyond our imaginative capacity.

            We cannot see the soul but can feel it via self realization. It is the process of understanding own self and ignoring the materialistic world. In another term denying the illusion and vagueness of the senses we can find ownself that we are not the constitution of blood and flesh but e are the soul. Each individuals bearing the soul are living and we should also considerate that no soul is good or bad because being the fragmentation of 'Brahma' (the supreme soul) we cannot raise the question of purity.

            We are the part of 'brahma' so why are we indulged in doing bad activities in this world? why cant we be connected with another soul? Because it is illusion of the materialistic sense that makes us different from one another. We are repressing or soul with these sense . To recover the soul there must be self realization.

            The work of self realization is not an easy task . this can be performed by the spiritually trained people called 'Yogis' or transcandalist. In Sanskrit it is said, "Tamantee Yogi Annentee", meaning yogis are those people who enjoy the eternal joy and enjoyment (ramantee-enjoyment,annentee-eternal).These yogis are living in the material world but are enjoying the pleasure of spiritual world, how is it possible? It is possible because they have transfigured themselves in the soul, or in another form. they have realized that they are the part of supreme brahma by denying the senses. There are two concepts for yogis regarding controlling the senses because they need to master over the senses to become  a yogi. It is said that one should not become the slave of the senses but must be a master it. One should not let it liberal but must grasp in fist because how much we liberate the senses, we go that much far from our soul. The tendency of  senses is to get more and more freedom. We can take the example of materialistic people who are wanting more and more but are never satisfied although they have lot to sustain their life in a proper manner. As indicated before, the two concept of yogis are as follows-

1.      material commodities has long existence. we try to get it because we think that it would make us happier. But on its contrary it doesn’t make us happy but, it leads us to misery. According to economist Mlthus, when we get the object we desired, from the first use of it we get full satisfaction but in passage of time its effect goes on decreasing and at last it starts to give negative result. In this way we want more and more worthless commodities to satisfy ourselves.

2.      physical ad emotional pleasure has short period of  time. we are overwhelmed to get happiness and pleasure but it doesn’t last long. It is for very short period of time and is covered by sorrows and other emotions. Likewise people use drugs to get pleasure and joy but it also doesn’t last long.when the intoxication of drug leaves then the person  is in same condition before taking the drug. When we glance towards  physical pleasure ie sex ,it is also for the short interval of time .It is never satisfied.

From the above mentioned subject matters, yogis are far more greater than ordinary people. They give-up these experiences and enjoy the better world ,the world where there is completeness and eternity. After their biological death they go directly to supreme soul and dissolve in it. But the people who cannot understand or cannot practice spiritual experience is compelled to take rebirth . Therefore , it is said that if a person cannot understand his existence he should take 84 lakh births which is extremely difficult.
